You can do this, Aimee. Give yourself some grace. It took my entire first 28 years of life to write that book. Excavation can be done, but it takes time, patience, and the right tools to get to what you're looking for :)

Also, a technical bit: you can solve any memory bits by writing the book as autofiction.
