Same! I’ve had blunt feedback (IRL, which was easier to navigate over time) and I’ve learned that if the person is making an effort to tell you something that is not purely subjective to their taste, but helps you be better at what you do, I’ll at least listen to it.

We definitely can’t please everyone and we shouldn’t, but I guess I’m frustrated with the perception that feedback is binary (any criticism=haters! vs. non-criticism: fawning fans!)
