This week, I was having a conversation with an editor friend of mine and we were talking about writing. How some people who come to this platform who are often motivated by the money they’ve seen other people make. Their writing devolves into the formulaic because they’re trying to copy what seemingly works instead of writing something that truly puts their readers’ heart on pause. They think — how can this piece go “viral” (shudder) instead of how can this piece move people.
