Oh my goodness! I feel the exact same way.

An interesting tip for dealing with turbulence, which actually works. Take a notebook (or paper) + pen with you on your next flight. When turbulence hits, start writing your name over and over with your non-dominant hand. What this does is occupy the same part of the brain that starts to panic when bumps hit — I got it from an article by a neurologist. It honestly works!
