Of course! I’m so humbled that my work can be a light in your day. I really recommend Cal Newport’s book. It shed so much light (and shares research on) how social media impacts our mental health. I’ve been working in social since 2006, so I pretty much ignored all the signs and succumbed. It also gives you practical alternatives to social so we can feel deeply connected to people, rather than superficially.

I also have friends who shut off FB completely except for a few private groups that help them. This could also be an option. Newport’s book also reframed my thinking in that social/not social doesn’t have to be a binary choice — you can be thoughtful about HOW and HOW OFTEN you use them to get the most value.

Warmest, f.
