Welcome to Our Walking Nightmare*

I’m sick of this.

This isn’t going to be an essay, an argument or anything cogent because our attention should be devoted to activists and politicians in a country where the rights of anyone who is not a straight white Christian are systematically being taken away. Meanwhile children will continue to be murdered in schools because of NRA blood money.

I used to be a believer. Washed in the blood of the lamb, but mankind ruined Christianity for me. Perverted the word of god for their greedy and political means. I no longer believe and will never believe in a religion that practices hate.

I’m not a woman who’s in the place to worry about gaining access to an abortion but I mourn the women who will die because their rights have been stolen from them.

Because if this were really about the children, women would have access to affordable healthcare, formula, diapers, paid maternity leave, funding for education, et all. But we all know this isn’t about the children — this is about greed and power.

I can’t even articulate how much I hate this country right now, and my own glimmer of light is living in California, which will be a refuge for women who seek abortions. I want out of this cesspool of a country.
