I’m not sure what you mean by “male” or “feminine” voice or language—there’s only narrative and character voice as voice isn’t driven by gender otherwise your writing falls flat and reduces to stereotype—but you would apply this to each of the characters you’re creating. Your characters are individuals who have their own unique sensibility, world view and voice, so yes, individual choices of voice would have to be applied. This article was meant to be a primer for new writers who are struggling to find their general voice and style. How that’s applied and modulated is where the practice of craft comes in.
