I loved this.

I have unfollowed, muted or blocked every single person who publishes income reports or tells you how to make millions with their “all you need to do is work harder” rhetoric because:

  1. They willfully ignore their privilege and the reality that a lot of people are working hard, if not harder than they are, and can still barely make ends meet. They assume the playing field is leveled. Most likely because it’s level for them.
  2. The advice is always the same. And it’s almost always told by someone white, young, without children, able-bodied, and with little to no debt.
  3. It’s another reason to humblebrag.

Listen, I’m all about talking money especially if you’re not a white dude since most of us are underpaid. Talk about money in terms of information so we can command parity when it comes to rates and salaries. But to feed people the illusion that they can replicate someone else’s success is pretty wild. And willfully tone deaf.

This article sums up how I feel.
