I love all of this and have also been on the platform since 2013. My concern about "expert" content is that the people writing this content aren't experts. This is why I never contributed to "Better Marketing" because there were so many bloggers writing about marketing who weren't actual practitioners, and if they were, they weren't seasoned. Of course, there were exceptions but I couldn't associate with a publication where people consistently got simple marketing terms incorrect.
I’m also skeptical because some of the interviews granted by Tony are with these faux experts, which I believe have degraded the platform.
I've publish a lot less frequently because of the shift away from appreciating fiction and narrative non-fiction in favor of self-help and "expert" content.
Candidly, I'm not invested in the platform anymore, but I do hope, as a paying member, it turns around so I'm able to see the kind of work I want to read in my feed.

Also, hard pass on private messaging. I had to remove my email from my bio because of the consistent onslaught of creepy messages, creepy men, and unhinged people who hate strong women with a voice. It got exhausting and I don’t want to deal with it on the platform. I can imagine people from marginalized communities might feel the same.
