As I’m not familiar with your life and don’t believe in giving unsolicited advice, I’ll tell you how I started—small. My overall goal was do less harm. I started looking at my clothes and researching my impact on buying them and if there was a way of lessening that impact. I took that concept and applied it to the rest. To your point (and mentioned in my essay), it’s hard to escape capitalism if we live and breathe it, but we can start on a journey to shift habits that truly aren’t useful for us—they’re useful to large corporations and governments.
