Ah, honestly, I’m could write a whole essay on this. However, while I realize time moves in chronological order, I don’t think we, as humans, always operate this way. We’re constantly oscillating between past and present when considering the future and when the future arrives (now present) we consider the past. I’m not saying everyone thinks this way, I do. And the way I write my stories and characters is that they’re constantly moving back and forth in time. I don’t write in a linear fashion. One foot doesn’t always fall right in front of the other for them. I don’t know if I’m explaining this cogently (I also didn’t get a lot of sleep last night), but it’s the best I can do at the moment.
