A few of my favorite African (and AA) authors off the top of my head are Tayari Jones, Taiye Selasi, Zadie Smith, the GOAT (she’s not technically African or AA since she’s from England, but I love her!!!), Samantha Irby, Nega Mezlekia, Jesmyn Ward, and Dana Johnson.
